A confidential space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
My name is Andrea and I offer counselling services in Sheffield, United Kingdom as well as online.
I'm an integrative counsellor, using a range of techniques tailored to suit you. This can include looking back at past experiences to process them fully as well as using CBT to help manage daily stress and anxiety. I'm also a qualified mindfulness meditation teacher and can incorporate simple practices into our sessions. I am an accredited member of the NCPS and a registered member of the BACP.
I support people in a wide range of issues and my specialist areas include Women's Issues (for example menopause, abusive relationships), work stress (especially teachers' stress), neurodivergence and issues facing young adults (over 18's dealing with college, work and relationship stresses).
I also offer walk and talk therapy on flat footpaths around scenic areas in and around The Peak District (weekends and Spring and Summer evenings).
Making the decision to see a counsellor is a big step to take - but it is a positive one.

Many of us feel we're on a hamster wheel, where every day is an endless list of 'jobs'. We have no time to just quietly be, or when we do get a moment, we restlessly scroll through social media. Sometimes we struggle to process past experiences and relationships, making us feel stuck. In my counselling I offer a safe, confidential space for you to reflect and work through your feelings. Time that is just about you, with a warm and understanding counsellor to help you find meaning in the chaos.
I am based in Sheffield and am currently available evenings and weekends for online or telephone counselling anywhere in the UK, as well as 'walk and talk' counselling near The Peak District.

Panic attacks
Relationship problems
Grief, loss or bereavement
Problems with addiction
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
Abuse
Depression
Coping with perimenopause
Problems with confidence or self-esteem
Anger management
Issues relating to sexuality
Difficulties at work or in retirement
Problems with work or college life
Life brings many challenges, and it is understandable that at times we might look for support in facing them. As a counsellor my role is to provide space and guidance to help you on your journey of self-discovery; to enable you to examine your life and make new, meaningful choices within it.
I offer a chance to reflect on the difficulties or problems you are experiencing in a safe and confidential environment, with someone from outside your day-to-day life. Together we can explore your situation in a way that leads to fresh perspectives - and perhaps a new understanding of yourself. Counselling isn’t about giving you solutions or advice, but empowering you to make your own changes.
